A PRIEST has been hired to bring together new communities set to be created on the city's waterfront. Father Ross Bell has been recruited by a consortium of agencies in the Granton area... He said: "I am a regeneration practitioner and enjoy working in teams of people of diverse skills and personalities.

Which organisations are behind this mysterious 'consortium' that are funding the "regeneration practitioner?" I hope there's no public funding gone into this... afterall, I'm sure the humanists, agnostics, and other non-christians of Granton will be delighted to know that there's a christian guy putting his God on the team trying to bring the 'old' and 'new' Granton residents together.

New communities need help developing their 'soft infrastructure,' too but surely this should be done by properly resourced community education workers?
